Scout Resources

Uniforms

Scouts are expected to attend all events dressed in their scout shirt with appropriate patches (i.e. Montana Council patch, pack number patches) unless otherwise noted. Scout-licensed pants are NOT required at this age but scouts should own a pair of nice green pants, jeans or khakis when possible for special events in the community. Neckerchiefs and slides will be provided by the pack.  Instructions on patch placement are here.

Uniforms can be purchased in person at the Bozeman Field Office and Scout Store or online and shipped at ScoutShop.org.

Costs should never be a barrier for scouting.  The pack maintains a collection of donated scout shirts and/or will provide scholarship funds if needed.  Please reach out and let us know.

 Scout Handbooks

Scout families should plan to purchase a scout handbook each year appropriate for their scout's level of scouting.   Handbooks are available in person at the Bozeman Field Office and Scout Store or online and downloaded or shipped at ScoutShop.org.  Before purchasing a handbook, check in with your child's den leader for their specific requirements.

 Scoutbook

Take a moment and log-in and bookmark scoutbook.scouting.org as it is our primary source of communications.   This is the best and most up-to-date source of scout meetings, event locations, advancement requirements and more.   There is both video and text available here to help you learn to navigate Scoutbook.   If you are having trouble, reach out to the Cubmaster at pack3670@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can help you and your family stay in touch!

 Dues

2023-24 Dues amounts TBD.  Dues are used locally and a separate fee from scout registration you pay to BSA.

Fundraising

The pack’s primary fundraiser is popcorn selling with the Montana Council. Popcorn sales are from mid-September to mid-October. While online selling can be done all year round, prizes for scouts will be awarded for any online sales through November.   A great popcorn sale generally means that nearly all other scouting events for the year (campouts, field trips, participation in council events, Pinewood Derby etc.) are free or very low-cost!

Registration and Forms

All scouts must register online via scouting.org.  The direct link to register for our pack is below:

Once registered, all scouts must have Health Forms A & B on file with the Pack.  Please download the file here.   You can turn in your completed form at any scout meeting or email it to pack3670@gmail.com.
